Review: Etude House My Little Nut Dear My Enamel Lips Talk [PK004] + Fantastic Color Eyes [Lucky Red Little Nut]

 

Holi! Jaja, ya sé, este post no tiene vergüenza: en primer el lugar es el primero en un millón de años y en segundo es de una colección prácticamente inconseguible. En realidad no estoy segura de que tenga alguna utilidad publicarlo, pero why not? Además hay que empezar a despertar las emociones por la edición de navidad que Etude House va a sacar este año, vaya a saber dios de qué será.

Ok, ok, sé que antes se merecen una de mis patéticas explicaciones. Bien, si me siguen en Instagram sabrán que este verano durante un mes tuve la oportunidad de vivir en Corea mientras estudiaba coreano en la Universidad Sogang. Prepararme para eso requirió mucho de mi parte, más que nada por el lado económico y, por lo tanto, laboral. Luego, por supuesto, estuve estudiando como loca. Y ahora, de regreso en mi país, que tengo de nuevo un ritmo de vida aceptable, retomar el blog está en mi lista de cosas por hacer.

Tengo que admitir que ir a Corea me sirvió a nivel personal para algo muy importante, y fue aceptar que me encantan y me interesan la moda y el maquillaje. Suena muy tonto, no? Pero para mí es un alivio expresar esto en voz alta y poder hacer oídos sordos a cualquiera que quiera llamarme superficial por eso. Es decir que, en la medida de mis posibilidades, me voy a dedicar a disfrutar este estilo de vida que elegí y nada más. Así que de ahora en adelante I'll be in you care :3

Hi! I know, I know, what's the point of this post? We're in the middle of the year and you can't get this collection anymore, but why not? And since they're already hanging christmas decorations around here, I want to join the hype and make you think of Etude House's next holiday collection xD

Yeah, sure, firts let's hear one of my pathetic excuses. If you follow me on Instagram for sure you know that this summer I had the amazing chance of actually study Korean in Korea, in Sogang University. Now, that required a looooooot of preparations, especially financially speaking. While there I just studied like crazy. But now I'm back in Mexico and ready to take this project where I left it.

I'm feeling kind of relieved these days. Since I came back from Korea I'm finally able to say outloud that I'm interested and want to know about fashion and makeup. This is probably due to my amazing roommate Lisa, who with I had some serious conversatios about the social pressure of being pretty all the time, which allowed me to, at the same time, have some serious conversations with myself. It sounds silly, but I'm finally ready to enjoy my interests without paying attention to those who will surely call me superficial bitch. So, from now on I'll be in you care! :3

¿Qué es?

Si han estado en esto de los cosméticos coreanos durante un rato seguramente saben que la popular marca Etude House nos enloquece cada año con una maravillosa colección de navidad. Para el 2016 el tema fue El Cascanueces y como siempre hay tantas cosas y todo está tan absolutamente adorable que uno no sabe qué comprar, pero al final me conformé con una de las dos paletas y un labial, porque nunca son suficientes.

One of the firts things that lure you into korean cosmetics is without doubt the preciosness of the packages. Everything really is cute in Korea, even the boys, LOL. Every year Etude House drives us crazy with a holiday especial collection. 2016 was My Little Nut year. There was a variety of items, but I picked only two.

¿Cómo se usa?

Cuando va a lanzar una nueva paleta, Etude House publica también algunos tutoriales para que antes de comprarla te des una idea de los looks que puedes realizar, pero finalmente su uso queda enteramente a tu creatividad. He visto a Jasmine hacer las cosas más geniales usando sombras de esta marca.

Prior to actually releasing the collection, you can find some makeup tutorials to help you visualize what you can do with it. Finally, is up to each one of us let the creativity out. I've seen Jasmine do some pretty cool stuff with Etude House palettes.

Conclusiones:

Dejando el empaque de lado, porque es absolutamente hermoso y no hay nada más que decir sobre ello, supongo que debería concentrarme en la utilidad real de estos dos ítems.

No voy a decir que la paleta es una de esas que pueden usarse todos los días, pero definitivamente me encanta, para mí exuda navidad de una forma adorable. Sin duda, el tono más valioso es ese rojo esfera que sirve para ponerle la chispa perfecta a los looks más atrevidos, mientras que el café ladrillo lo uso para un look de Pony.

Las tres sombras rosadas/naranjas me gusta usarlas así solitas, en especial porque últimamente ando muy inclinada al maquillaje rápido y natural, aunque la de en medio se pierde absolutamente con mi tono de piel, y curiosamente fue la que más resaltó en el swatch. Lamentablemente la primera de ellas inexplicablemente se salió de la cajita y terminó toda partida Q___Q así que definitivamente ya no tiene esa apariencia limpia y uniforme.

La verdad es que a veces me siento un poco culpable y me pregunto para qué necesito tantos colores, pero cuando se me prende el foco y quiero hacer algo más elaborado en mis ojos me alegra tener con qué hacerlo. Tampoco se trata de que compremos todo el maquillaje que se nos ponga enfrente, pero adquisiciones como éstas de edición especial me parece que valen la pena.

Ahora, con el labial es otra historia. Es mi tono de todos los días o para los good girl looks. Me parece que es muy cómodo y versátil porque lo uso cuando quiero algo rápido y fácil, o cuando hice algo muy llamativo en mis ojos y necesito irme más tranquila con los labios.

Se ve muy natural y al mismo tiempo aporta una nota cute, casi casi es un my lips but better pero en acabado brillante. Además tengo que agregar que huele y sabe delicioso, lo que siempre se aprecia. Para mí resultó ser una de esas compras útiles y multi propósitos. 

Quizá lo único negativo es que es un poco pegajosillo, pero a menos que sean super quisquillosos en este aspecto, no vale la pena mencionarlo. Otra factor a tomar en consideración es que mancha al estar en contacto con otras cosas, aunque no termina de salirse por completo.

There's nothing relevant to say about the packaging except the obvious: it's gorgeous! I just love how much details this brand puts into the design of its products. So let's concentrate in the real actual use of these items.

I'm not gonna lie and say that the palette is for everyday, but the truth is that I still like it a lot. Whitout doubt the most eyecatching color is that bright red, it really gives you the christmas vibes and it's the perfect spark for more flashy looks. I use the brick brown to copy a Pony makeup that I love, so I find it very useful.

I generally use the 3 pinky/orangey eyeshadows by themselves, cause lately I've been more into natural 5 minute makeup. I know the one in the middle is the one that looks most pigmented in the swatch, but it's actually the less useful for my skin tone. The first of these pink eyeshadows got out of the case and broke, so my palette is all messy now.

I often feel guilty for buying makeup and the not using it that much, but the truth is that is also very rewarding to be able to follow the tutorials from my favorite makeup artists. I don't mean is okay to buy without any control, but especial edition items like these are really worthy.

About the lipstick, it was casually one of those smart buyings. It turned out to be my everyday lipstick or "good girl" lipstick, also kind of a "my lips but better" in a more shiny finish. Is very convinient and versatile, so I use it for quick looks or when I have to go easy on the lips. It looks very natural yet cute. And it smells marvelous <3

Maybe the only other thing that it's worth mentioning is that can be a little sticky, nothing annoying, tho. It also transfers when you're in contact with other things, but it still stays a bit.
